Welcome to my little corner of the web. A place to share about all of the things I have a passion for...namely God, being a wife and mother and learning to honor God in all of my relationships. He deserves all the praise for the work he is accomplishing in my life.
I am the wife to a man that I love being with. It doesn't matter where...just being with him and sharing our hearts and dreams and struggles. Sometimes just going through the drive through to get a milkshake is my date of choice. He makes me laugh, sometimes very hard! He knows me better than anyone else on this planet. We've been married for 17 years. Even after all of our hardships, I love him now more than ever.
I am also the mother to seven beautiful children who are gifts from my Father in heaven. Sometimes they are so easy to love and delight in, other times my patience is tried and I come to realize how selfish I really am. My children have been used of God to help me mature as a woman of God in more ways than I could count. Every day I strive to model Christ for them...and you know...sometimes I fail miserably. Thankfully, I can always seek forgiveness, and that is good example for them too.

I teach my kids at home. And there are many lessons learned at times when the books are closed. And I think this is the main reason why I do it.
My motto lately is that "It's never too late to learn". Just under two years ago, I learned to crochet.
My oldest daughter had been taught by her grandmother, and one day I asked her to teach me. The rest is history. After several scarves and blankets I am loving this new craft that I can tote around with me wherever I go. Soft yarn in my fingers and creating something that can be used and enjoyed makes me happy.
I am also trying my hand at baking, branching out and trying new things. I love being in the kitchen creating things for family and friends to enjoy. I delight to share some of those recipes here.
My husband recently blessed me with the gift of a Nikon D3100 camera. I'm learning more and more about how to use it and enjoying it immensely. It really is a dream come true for me as I developed a love for photography in high school and have loved it ever since. I'll never forget the awe and wonder I felt in the "darkroom" developing the pictures that I had taken. Captured moments to be remembered. It thrilled me.
This blog is a place to share my story so that it won't be forgotten, so that you may be encouraged, and so that God will be seen. It is a place to record what God is doing in my life for he is the Author and Finisher of it all.
It truly is all by his grace.
