Maybe you are firm in your beliefs, you know what you believe and no one can tell you otherwise.
Have you ever questioned why you believe what you do?
What are your beliefs based on? Are they based on your own understanding, opinion, or experience?
Many people misunderstand God and have
a false idea of who he is.
Would you want to know if what you are currently
believing about God is wrong?
Did you know that God loves you and he made you to bring honor to him and to have a beautiful relationship with him?
You make known to me the path of life;
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
Are you willing to admit that you have done wrong in your life? That you haven't been perfect? It's easy to compare yourself to someone else and say "Well, I'm not as bad as they are!" Do you realize that everyone can say that? But what about you? Have you ever compared your life to God's standard for what is right and good? That is the true test and it's one that no one can pass.
Did you know that your sin separates you from God? He is holy, perfectly pure and righteous. Every sin is an offense to him.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Did you know that the consequence of your sin is death?
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a
Did you know that God has made a way for your sin record to be wiped clean? He has made a way for you to be forgiven for every sin you are guilty of.
Doing good works cannot erase our record. The good does not cancel out the bad. That's like someone telling me they stole my car and totaled it, but they mowed my lawn for me to make up for it. Has justice been served? Has your anger that someone would steal your car and wreck it been appeased because they mowed your lawn? We don't operate that way, and God doesn't either.
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according
to his own mercy... Titus 3:4-5a
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your
own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one
may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Being religious or moral does not clear up your record or cancel out your sin. It just makes people seem good on the outside. Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of his day. They thought they were righteous and good because of their religious and moral behavior, yet he knew the true condition of their hearts.
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed
tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's
bones and all uncleanness.
tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's
bones and all uncleanness.
So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy
and lawlessness." Matthew 23:27-28
Did you know that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ to make it possible for you to be free from the guilt and penalty of your sins?
Jesus was completely sinless and totally innocent. He is the Creator of all things and He gave his life willingly so that you could be pardoned and reconciled to God.
He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn
of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven
and on earth, visible and invisible... Colossians 1:15-16a
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will scarcely die for a righteous person-- though perhaps for a good
person one would dare even to die-- but God shows his love for us in that
while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8
Did you know that God is offering you eternal life as a free gift?
When we are given a gift it is not something that we have to earn. It is given to us out of the goodness and kindness of one's heart. It is simply received. God wants you to receive his gift without trying to earn it. Because of our sin, we have only earned death. He has offered up his Son, Jesus who has paid the penalty for our sins so that we can be with God forever.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Jesus wants you to trust and believe that he is the very God who made you, who is sustaining your life even now, and is the only way for you to be saved from God's wrath and judgement on your sins. He calls you to repent, which means to be truly sorry for your sins and turn from them, and to turn toward God with a readiness to live your life for him.
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me." (Jesus) John 14:6
except through me." (Jesus) John 14:6
Repent, therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out...
Acts 3:19
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13
If you believe the truth about God and his Son Jesus Christ, you can begin to have a wonderful relationship with your Creator this very day. Even if you've never talked to God before, you can tell him now that you believe in Jesus and that he is the only way for you to be forgiven for your sins. You can ask him for forgiveness.
...If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
and believe in your heart that God raised him from
the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
There is therefore now no condemnation for those
who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit
of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law
of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2
"Truly, truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and
believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not
come into judgement, but has passed from death to life."
John 5:24
God promises eternal life, a home in heaven and a relationship with him on this earth, to those who believe in his Son. Will you believe what he has said? Will you trust in him today?
