Delightful "punkins"

I have concluded that this Fall has been one of the best, maybe even THE best Fall seasons I have ever experienced.  God has given me such a heightened awareness of the beauty all around me.  Sure, I've appreciated things before, but not as much as I do now!  Even the curves of a pumpkin and the ridges on it's nearly perfect stem have me enthralled.  I never even knew there was such a thing as a "tiger pumpkin" until this year!

Manny, my sweet son, who sees the beauty in small things too, was quite excited about the opportunity to hold and touch these "punkins."

His affection for the "punkins" still hasn't fizzled out.  He wanted to "play" with them this morning too!
Believe me, I've already had to remind him to be careful and that they are not balls for him to throw!

I can't seem to go out the door of my house without being absolutely captivated by the autumn leaves.  Seriously, I have to be careful that I don't get myself into an accident while driving.  I love them.  The oranges, the yellows, the reds, all shapes and sizes, trees have certainly grabbed my attention this Fall.  I'm probably starting to annoy my kids (hopefully only a little) with my constant search for a beautiful tree to photograph. :)

After piano practice on Wednesday afternoon, I was driving along and when I turned to the right...there it was.  A sight to behold, and so conveniently growing on the side of a large empty parking lot.  So easy for me to drive up to and pull out my camera for a delightful photo session.  Seize the moment!

I felt like I was in one of the most beautiful places imaginable while I stood under that tree.  It was quiet except for the sound of my camera clicking and my children giggling as they played with each other and listened to music in the van.  The leaves gently falling down from the tree above me added to the beauty of it all.  I could have stayed there for much longer than my schedule would afford me.  But schoolwork and housework awaited us all.  "Just a few more pictures kids, I'll be right there."  Oh!  It was glorious!

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth...all things
were created through him and for him.  Colossians 1:16
