Oh, this little guy...
He can be so irresistibly sweet.
I was tucking him in for his nap, playing the "I'm gonna squish you" game (yeah, I made that one up) and he was giggling up a storm and pleading with me "Nooo, noooo mommy! No squish me!" I love this time with him.
Lying there next to him, I remembered a recent conversation I had with a friend. She shared with me how her three year old asks some pretty thoughtful questions about God. Manny hasn't been asking many questions, so I decided to do the asking.
"Manny, do you know what God made?"
"Uh-huh."
"What did God make?"
"A huge duck."
His answer surprised me and I was laughing hysterically...
"What else did he make?"
"A goose."
"Anything else?"
"He made all the peoples."
"You're right Manny. He did!"
More laughter ensued...kisses on his sweet, soft cheeks, squeezing and tickling his little boy frame and thinking that the way he said "peoples" was just about the cutest thing in the world at that moment.
Sweet little man.
